TRAMWAY BOARD
ORDINARY MEETING
The Tramway Board met yesterday afternoon. Present: Messrs C. M. Gray (chairman)', J. A. Flesher, H. Pearce. A. S. Taylor. D. Sykcs, S. A. Staples, and Geo. T. Booth.
The Works and Traffic Committee, referring to the condition oi some of the interfvCftious of streets, stated that 't would bo impossible to alter the graces of main and intersecting streets without considerable expense, both to the City Council and the Tramway Board, but tome minor improvements would lie made which would improve the passage of motor vehicles driven at a reasonable speed. The report was received. A letter was read from Messrs T. W. and J. Walker, Wolverhampton, England-, with reference to the despatch of Christmas presents to ex-members of the Board's staff on active service ; and the general manager stated that letters had been received frorn sonic of the men acknowledging receipt ol parcels. It was decided to write thanking Messrs
Walker for their attention to ibis matter.
