, » I he cklrily man who was accidentally knocked down in the Papanui road on lccoskcd- down in the Papanui road on Friday night bv an automobile, and who was also struck by a tho time the accident occurred, was still unconscious in tho Hospital late last night. The victim of tho accidont, who is in a serious condition, was not identified until yesterday. The police now find that h lanio is Robert Green; ho is a naUve of ictori.a, and had followed tho calling of a ship's steward. At 6.30 p.m. yesterday Mr James Priest, of 11 Sail's roud, Papanui, was driving his wife and three children in a dogcart through the Square when the horse slipped and foil, and all tho occupants of the trap were thrown out. ' Luckily, beyond a severe shaking, no one was seriously hurt. (PBESS ASSOCIATION" TELEGRAM.) TE KUITI, March 2. ttilliam M. Nash, 44 years of age, discharged us a. soldier from Trentham, on February 13th. and who has since been working at Putaruru, was u first-class passenger from Frankton to "Wellington. He attempted to board the train at, Te Kuiti last evening. missed Lis footing, and fell. The train passed'over him, and ho died almost immediately, as the result of his injuries. Ho was a native of Sydney.
