The reply alleged that the Lusitania carried troops and ammunition. To this Note the United States replied on June 10th w;th a Note which led to the resignation of Mr \\ illiam Jennings Brvan, then Secretary of State, because he considered the document too warlike, though it was in actual fact les* vigorous than the Note of May 14th.
