CLAIMS AGAINST THE ENEMY.
In a "Gazette" Extraordinary issued on Thursday it is notified by Order-in-Council, dated tho 27tli ult., that on or before April 30fch, 1918, every British subject resident in New Zealand, and every company or other corporation incorporated in New Zealand, must make to tho Public Trustee at Wellington o return in writing of the matters following.—
(a) All property which belongs to that British subject or corporation and which is situated within tho territories of his Majesty's enemies; (b) All property which belongs to that British, subject or corporation, and which is situated within any territory which is now in the military occupation of his Majesty's enemies ; <c) All pecuniary claims of that British subject, or corporation against any enemy Government;
t,d) All pecuniary claims of that British subject or corporation against anv persons or corporations resident ci carrying on business within the terri tones of his Majesty's enemies; (c) All pecuniary* claims of that British subject or corporation against any person or corporation jesident or carry, mg on business in any territory which is now in the military occupation of hi; Majesty's enemies.
Returns shall be made as aforesaid ii respect of all enemy territory, notwithstanding the fart that such territory ros y be now in the military occupation of his Majesty's Forces.
