THE SHIPPING OUTPUT. LABOUR TROUBLES RETARD CONSTRUCTION. (Keuter'a Telegrams.) (Received February 28th, 10.10 p.m.) LONDON, February 27. In tho House of Commons Mr Bonar Law stated that tho output of ships in January and February had been very disappointing. This was largely due to labour troubles. The Government was informing the shipyard workers of the seriousness of the position, with the object of convincing them that their work was as vital as lighting. When they realised that there would bo no more complaints that shipbuilding was decreasing because the men wero not working their hardest. LABOUR PARTY'S CONSTITUTION. (By Cable.—Press Association. —Copyright.) (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.) LONDON, _ Fobruary 27. The adjourned Nottingham Conference of the Labour Party has resumed at Westminster, to consider tho new constitution. Two hostile amendments by tho independent Labour Party were defeated. A Socialist amendment preserving tho separate representation of the Independent Party on the executive was rejected. MINERS AND MAN-POWER PROPOSALS. (Eeutor's Telegrams.) (Received February 28th, 8.25 p.m.) LONDON, February 27. The Miners' Conference in London decided to ballot all members with regard to the proposal to comb out 50,000 miners for the army. It is understood that the Conference was fairly evenly divided for and against its immediate acceptance. Another resolution in favour of peace negotiations received small support.
