AQUATICS.
♦ INTER-CLUB RACES. The next series of inter-club races will bo held on the Avon on Saturday afternoon. The course will bo from Cowlishaw's comer to the East Belt bridge. Entries arc as follows: — Canterbury Rowing Club, Youths' Four— No. 1, Triggs, Haxdy, Spooner, Penny; No. 2, Chesson, Holland, Williams, Manning. Maiden Double Sculls: Stewart, Duneford. Avon Rowing Club—Youths' Four: No. 1, A. Henry, E. Yeoman, C. Hawkins, E. Osbourne; No. 2, C. Keys, F. Coombes, A. Keys, E. Barber; Maiden 'Double Sculls.: D. Stevenson, A. Large, o. 2, J. Galillie, F. Smith. . Union Rowing Club—Youths' Four: -No. 1, T. Grenfell, L. Zimmerman, H. C. Ross, G. Fildes; Wo. 2, L. Byers, L. Kirk, G. Logan, F. H. Malmanche. Maiden Double Sculls: No. 1. D. Hanna. B. Palmer: No. 2, W. Whittington, L. Gregory. Twenty minutes interval will .be allowed between" tho starting of each race, and the times of starting will be strictly adhered to. The following are the officials: — Starter, Mr F. D. Keetovan; -umpire, Mr 11. Tapling; judge, Mr V. Evans. Owing to a large number of members going into camp shortly, and the Kaiupoi regatta being held nest month, the above will bo the last intor-club races to be held this season.
