Advice has been received in Dunedin that Private John Angell, who left with the 19th Reinforcements, has been awarded the D.C.M. for brnverv in the field. Private Angell. before enlisting. wag in the service of Messrs Bing, Harris and Co.
The service at Trinity Conventional Church on Sundry evening took the form of a memorial service to the late Mr W. E. Inglis. The Rev. H. Allen Job, in the course of his remarks, spoke of the deceased's lone: connexion with the church. He haa served as a deacon for eight years, ns treasurer for five years, and had also ably filled the position of secretary of the' auxiliary of the London Missionary Society. An anthem and appropriate hymns were given by the choir.
