.. _. \ « ADDINGTON BURGESSES' ASSOCIATION. At the monthly meeting of the Addington Burgesses' Association Mr 5. L. Jackson presided over a good attendance >of members. Correspondence' was reoeived from Messrs Reeee Bros., offering a piece of land at the oornor of Lincoln and Park roads for the purpose of making the corner safe for. traffic. Mr W. A. Sheldon gave details leading ■up to the offer being made, also of tho deputation on the spot, including the Mayor of Chriatchurch, and the Hope was expressed that the City Council would lose no time in making the necessary alterations. The secretary's resignation was forwarded, to take effect at the annual meeting. It was decided to write to the City CXnmcil asking that gates be placed at tho approach to the Jerrold street reserve to make the approach more attractive; also that a light be placed on the existing poles. It was decided to write to tho Tramway Board asking for a seat to be. placed on Lincoln road, opposite Dickens street. Ex-Councillor J. McOnllough gave an address on municipal matters _as they appeared to him. At the conclusion of the address Mr G-. Gyde moved a hearty vot© of thanks to the speaker, which was carried by acclamation.
