Tliero was a scene i n the .Assembly during the discussion of the usual motion congratulating the new Governor (Sir Walter Daviason) on his appointment. Several members of the Opposition, while offering Sir Walter Davidson their personal congratulations, disobeyed the Speaker's ruling and condemned the retention of State Governors and the expense attaching thereto. j One member was eventually removed. The motion was carried by 22 votes to 11.
