The yarding of fat sheep at the Hawardon sale yesterday comprised 2517 lambs and 426 ewes and wethers. Good prices ruled, but a fcvMots were passed in, not being up to the standard ot finish required by the freezing buyers. A message from London to the Australian papers under date of 10th inst. states:—A message from Zurich says that the Austro-Hungarian Bank returns, published for the first time for three and a half years, show that while the note circulation has enormously increased, the gold cover, has decreased to the point of extinction. The amount of gold for the redemption of the notes was 1 per cent, of the note circulation of 1917, compared with 22 per cent, in 1914. CHKISTCHURCH STOCK. EXCHANGE. ;
