The yarding of fat sheep at the Hawardon sale yesterday comprised 2517 lambs and 426 ewes and wethers. Good prices ruled, but a fcvMots were passed in, not being up to the standard ot finish required by the freezing buyers. A message from London to the Australian papers under date of 10th inst. states:—A message from Zurich says that the Austro-Hungarian Bank returns, published for the first time for three and a half years, show that while the note circulation has enormously increased, the gold cover, has decreased to the point of extinction.
