St. George Douglas, Durham street, Christchurch, has been advis**] by cable that his son, 2nd-Lieu-teaant Hamilton M. Douglas, has been hdmitted to hospital in France witn severe gunshot wounds in the rign forearm and back. Mr P. G. Willis, of Greymouth, has received advice that his son, 1 nyate Egbert Joseph Wiflis, who enlisted in the loth Reinforcements, died oi wounds on February 10th, at the 3rd Canadian Casualty Clearing Station. He was wounded on January Bth, being shot through the head. He had gone through the Battle of Messines and the Battle of Ynres, and was doing patrol work with Belgian ll .ts when he was wounded. Private e was years of age and a native of Greymouth. Previous to enlisting lie was working in the railway workshops. A brother was killed at Gallpoli, and two other brothers have, returned from the front, wounded. Another brother has recently returned n°™° a u nd anothe «- brother is n camp at Trontham. Tho mother of the deceased died about twelve months
