■ • { LONDON, February 11. One hundred members of tho -Ara- I gon's crew liavo reached Southampton, j They unite in paying tribute to the courage of the 100 nurses who wore j cn board. Tho latest details those 6urvivors bring show that tho torpedo crashed into the ship's bowels, shattering tho shaft. Tho vessel only floated for 17 minutes. Somo of the crew were up to their waists in water while launching the boats. It was impossible to launch many, because of the heavy list. The final act lasted ono minute and a .half, tho vessel suddenly gave a tremendous lurch, which was its death spasm. Captain feateman, on the bridge, shouted. «\ow then, overv man for himselr, ana may God help you all." Two minutes later the groat ship was below water. Those who were loft on board were sucked down in the currents. • Tho Aragon was torpedoed and sunk on December 30th. Tho casualties totalled over 600, including Captain Bate-n-.an. Tho vessel carried troops, nurses, and medical corps.
