ANNUAL REPORT. . The report to bo presented to tile tliirtyeixth annual meeting of tho Canterbury Caledonian Society states that the year ended with the substantial credit balance of j£l6 lis 3d, in addition. X'lß 2s was placed to the crcdit of tho Benevolent Fund. During tho year 7> new meinbem were admitted, a record for the Society. The fociul evening's held during the year, and the Highland dancing competitions, were highly successful. The Pine Band mado progress during: the ysar. Owing to his removal to Ot&go, Pipe-Major Craig had to resign, hia place being taken by Pip©-lla.jor Taylor. Tho Society's Patriotic Concert Party had done much throughout the year in assisting- to raise funds for the different war funds by "iving concerts throughout Canterbury. The directors, who rctir<> by rotation, aro Messra CI. Sey, B. Moore, \Y. Edjrinton, J. A. Boswell, and T. JCnox; the three first named week re-election. Tho Society records - its thanks to Mr Leon Sey for his valuable work as honorary treasurer, and expresses Us beat wishes to him whilst serving with the Expeditionary Force.
