WELLINGTON, February 20,
As the result of the recent arrests of bookmakers, a number appeared in Court this morning. For betting on licensed premises. Henry James Wales was fined £40, and James Henry Rogers £20. Rogers was also fined £10 for laying totalisator odds. John Laidlaw Walling, for keeping a common gamine house, was fined £50, and Arthur Walling, for assisting in conducting it. £25.
