SATURDAY'S MOTOR CARNIVAL.
« Present indications are that next Saturday's Motor Carnival at Sockburn will eclipse all previous functions of a similar kind held in Canterbury. There are more New Zealand crack riders taking part, and as more training will bfe indulged in by them on this occasion than previously, better all-round performances may reasonably be expected. Interest is very keen amongst the motoring fraternity and others, who are closely following the training op3rations. Mr (J. M. Hill's exhibition of flying, and tho motor-car event to determine which car is capable of travelling the fastest, will add additional interest to the programme. Complete arrangements liave been made for tho supply of afternoon tea.
