« ; CANTERBURY- RUGBY UNION. A meeting of the Management Committee of the Canterbury Rugby Union was held last evening. Present —Messrs F. T. Evans (chairman), R. W. Britton, A. McPhail, V. J. Gamble, A. It. Blank, A. Barrett, K. E. Boag, I' 1 . I>. Keateven, G. Dobbs, S. F. Wilson, C. Buchanan, and C. W. Hervey (secretary). The Lancaster Pai-K Training Hall Committee reported that the electric light had been installed in a most satisfactory manner. Mr Kesteron reported that everything connected with the hall wis now ae satisfactory as it possibly could 'oc. Tho report was adopted, and a vote of thanks vras passed to the Hall Committee, the 4lgpe being expressed that clubs in the coming season would take full advantage of tho opportunities offered by the training hall. Lack of silver was stated to Ims tho reason for the non-forwarding of the medals. and the champion shield won by school teams last season. Letters on the matter wore received, and the erub-committeo previously set np in connexion with the matter was instructed to do what it could in having the trork carried out. • A letter of thanks was received from Mrs D. GallajjhCT, of Auckland, for the Union's expressions of sympathy with her at tho death in pclion of the "'All Black" captain, Mr Dave Gallagher. It '.vas reported that tbo Union was uo'v £142 6s ICd in credit. It was dccidcd to place an additional i! 100 of this amount in the Post Office Savings Bank.
