The heavy rain at the end of last week and light showers during the past two days have checked harvest operations so far as stacking and threshing are concerned. There has been very little business doing in grain since ihe last report, offerings of any kind being very limited. There is no business doing in potatoes, as the markets are well supplied front local crops. The rain is expected to do further damage in crops that were showing signs of decay through blight, which is prevalent on heavy land. The main crop of onions _ is now coming on the market, and is said to be a good one. The price is now £3 los at country stations. There was a. -very large attendance at tho Raugiora market yesterday, farmers taking advantage of the wet spell to visit the market. The entry of sheep was a very heavy one, there being & yarding of 7115, of which 2991 were fats..
