A few days aco we published an appenj from the liight Rev. Dr. Mclnnes, Bishop in Jerusalem, and General Sir A. 11. MaeMahon, on behalf of the Syria and Palestine Relifaf Fund, estab-
lished for the purpose of relieving tho appalling distress in those countries. A small relief camp has already been established near Gaza, and with the advance of our troops—among whom are New Zealanders —it will b'o possible to givo aid to an increasing number of tho sufferers.
