Under the auspices of tho Workers* Edu- v cations! Association a popular lecture will bo delivered by Mr A. Dudley Dobaon, City Surveyor, on "Municipal Activities" (illustrated) at .tho Trades Hall to-night, at 8 o'clock. 1
A .mooting of ratepayers, will be held in the Bromley* School to-night at 8 o'clock, under the auspices of the-He&thcote .County Council, when various matter* concerning" the district will bp discussed.
The twenty-fifth annual general meeting of the Canterbury Central Cooperative Dairy Co., Ltd.. will b e held at the company's office, Addington, on Wodnosday, ut 11 a.m.
The North Canterbury Sheepfarmcra' Cooperative Freezing Export and Agency Co., Ltd., will hold its annual general meeting in the Chamber of Commerce Hall, on Wednesday week, at 2 p.m. The transfer books of the company will be dotted from Wednesday until November 14th, inclusive. The Christchurcli City Council offices will be closed on Monday; (Labour Day).' The St. Michael and All Angels' ■ Church 3»lo of work will be opened in the schoolroom, Durham street, on Wednesday, at 2.30 p.m., by Mrs- Elworthy. On that, and the succeeding day it will be open from 2.30 to 6 p.m., and 7 p.m. to 10 pan. NtunerouK stalls will bo erected, and musical ' item* will be contributed. Admission will bo free.
