A circular was received from tho Kaiapot Borough Council forwarding cony of resolution. suggesting that no cnarg'- should b© made by the Hospital Boards lor tue maintenance of patients suffering from infectious diseases. It was dccided to support tho ieeolution. . „ • r> i. The headmaster of the Rangiora. Borough School wrote applying for the use of tho bath on Monday and Wednesday afternoons from 8.30 to 5. The Swimming Ciub asked fo.< tho use of the bath on the samo terms as last year. It was decided to grant the applications. ' . , Air W. G. Whiteside, of Ayers street, forwarded a petition signed by thirteen ratepaverft asking that tho street be kerbed and channeled, ani stating that -they wer» willing to way half the' cost. It was decided to give the petition consideration when tho finances permit of further expondituvc on works of the kind. ... , , . The financial statement showed receipts oii s ge-.icral aexount £254 gas account £324 63 3d, and expenditure on general account £285 13s 2d, gas account £136 8s 3d, leaving n debit balance on the gna account of tl'3 Sd, and on the general account of £343 19s-9d, making a total debit of £1113 la lid. Tho foreman reported that the bath had been v.-hitew&slied and cleaned out ready for tho opening day. m . It v.-ns decided that owners of unregistered dogs after November Ist be prosecuted.
