THE SALONICA FIRE. (Eontar's Telegrams.) (Received August 2oth, 12.50 a.m.) SALONICA, August 24. A remarkable feature of the great Are was that it started in several ..places simultaneously. Fresh outbreaks constantly occurred as others were tacklcc . Half the city was blazing within two hours. Terrified refugees fled .from quarter to quarter, vainly seeking safetv, as the flames spread. German aeroplanes bombs increased their terror, and a sca-front holocaust seemed likely, but the British Navy took off huddled crowds, and army motor lorries evacuated thousands by road.
