ROUMANIAN OFFENSIVE.

A Roumanian communique dated Aygusb 11th, states: Enemy attacks north of the Susita Valley slightly forcocl us back, but our dashing coun-ter-attacks drove the enemy back as far as the Susita Valley and Saturnar, south-west of Panciu. Violent enemy attacks between Slanicu and Ocna were driven back almost everywhere in disorder. CHANGE IN COMMAND. (Reuter'a Telegrams.) PETROGRAD, August 23. General Letchitsky, recently commanding on the Russian western front, has been appointed Commander-in-Chief on tlio northern front. JAPANESE TROOPS FOR EUROPE. (Australian and N.Z. Cublo Association.) PARIS, August The "Petit Journal" announces that difficulties m the way of the Japanese intervention in Europe have been romoved A glorious dawn will be symbolised by the appearance of the Japanese flag on the Russian front.
