NEW ZBALAND SUCCESSES

■ Newspaper files, received by yesterday's mail, disclose that'at the Sydney Show, which was a record one, New Zealanders did well both in the sheep and heavy horse divisions. For English Leieesters. Air J. Nixon secured a good many prizes, including the ram championship for a handsome animal of his own breeding. The champion ewe, shown by Mr G. C. JJrnnskill (itir e rina) was bred by Mr Donald Grant, of Timaru, and better specimens have seldom boeu seen on tho Sydney Showground. The New Zealand-bred Clydesdales scored a good proportion the wins in their classes, Mcsers Mitchell and O'Brien's importations doing very well. The red ribbon for ? fe'-,Jr re s w ca . rs , an "? under four, went to Hillhead Knight, by Black Knight— Miss by vie. and the third prize to a colt by General Drummond—Countess of Drummond, both being New Zealand bred. Dominion-bred horses won the two-year-old colt class, and three years and under four class for mares. T\i Mction Messrs Mitchell and O'Brien's The Saxon won the championship, and other New Zea-land-bred horses won <the classes for two and under three year stallions
