ST. JOHN AMBULANCE. ♦ r A meeting of the General Committee of the St. John Ambulance Association wao held last night, Dr. Louiason- presiding over a good attendance. . . , The Canterbury Automobile Association forwarded £23 towards the purchase oU ™tor ambulance, and it was received with .-thanks. The chairman of the Order, London, wrote conveying notification of the admission as an honorary serving brother of the Order, of Lieut. W. W. McKinney. Tho Greymouth Sub-committee wrote forwarding names of various persons recommended for recognition of their services to the Association. It was decided to forwar<* the names to the proper authorities, witE the desired recommendation. The financial statement submitted showed: Balance to credit, £373 Ha lOd; Savings Bank, General Fund, £114 Is lid; Motor Ambulance Fund, £150: total, £613 19s Od. The receipts totalled £42 14s 6d (including £25 for motor ambulance), and the expenditure to £303 08 10d. The forward policy in respect to the St. John Ambulance Brigade, submitted by M r McKinney, was briefly discussed, and it was decided, on the motion of Mr McKinney, seconded by Mr Watkins, that a Dominion Conference be held ao soon as possible after tho war, to discuss the scheme. ;
