MAGISTERIAL. (Before Mr T. A. B. Bailey, S.M.) DRUNKENNESS. Seven first offenders were each fined 5s with the usual default, for drun r kenness. THEFT. Per]a M. M. Campbell pleaded guilty to stealing at Wellington one black leather hand-bag, valued at 12s Gd, and ane cheque for £2 ss, the property of Mary Shenan. Chief Detective Herbert stated that accused committed the theft in a. boarding-house -in Wellington. She and another servant were drawing their wages, and she stole her fellow-worker's bag, with the wages in it. She was ordered to come up for sentence when called upon, on condition that eho pays off the amount at the rate of 10s per week. BREACH OF ORDER. William Howell, charged with breach of his prohibition order, was fined 20s. MAINTENANCE. John Donovan was proceeded'against |<by his wife (Mr Upham)_for separation, | maintenance, and guardianship. . The [separation order was granted with [ maintenance at the rate of 3% per week. Two girls, one aged 15 and another just over -16, were charged in the Juvenile Court with having, on April 9th, stolen various articles of clothing,' etc.. of a total value of £15 9s, the property of Cecily Ongley. The Magistrate convicted tho younger girl, and committed her to the To Oranga Home. He formally sentenced the other girl to on 0 month's imprisonment, and recommended to the authorities that 6hc bo sent to an industrial school. ) WELLINGTON CASES.
