The following cable message, dated Paris, April Btli, addressed to tho Now'' Zealand Press Association, has been re-jv; ceived:— ' •'Senator Hubert is happy to inform Now Zealanders that in front of 75,000 < peoplo, the New Zealand Army Rugby team beat the French Army team by 40 points—five goals, four tries, ono. free kick—to nil, winning the Sommo' cup offered by 'Le Journal.'
