DEPARTING SOLDIERS.
At the monthly meeting of the Halswell Patriotic Committee occasion was taken to present Lance-Corporal Wilks and Private G. Fergus, of the 2oth Reinforcements, on final leave, with pocket wallets as souvenirs from the district. Mr I:".. Paterson (chairman), in an appropriate speech, wished them God -speed and -a >atc return. Each soldier suitably responded.
