A TRIPLE CHARGE. Richnrd "William Barnden was charged with having been found drunk in Taylor street, Addington on Sunday, nl.co with having resisted the police, and with. Laving used obscene language. Accused was sentenced to one month's imprisonment on the charge of obscene language, and convicted on. the others. TWO YOUTHS. Ernest Ramsay and Francis "Ward, two respectable-looking youths, were charged with having been fouud_ drunk, with disorderly conduct, and with wilful damage to a picket fence, tho property of James Harris. To cach chargo they pleaded guilty. On tho charges of being drunk and disorderly each was fined 20s, in tho alternative seven days' imprisonment. Thoy were cach ordered to pay one-half the damage—ls 6d each—in tho alternative an additional 48 hours' imprisonment. ALLEGED THEFT. Pcrla Margaret Mary Campbell, a young woman, was charged with having, on or about March 31st, at "Wellington. stolen a handbag valued at 12s Gd and a cheque for £2 us, tho property of Mary Shivan. On the application of Chief-Detective Herbert a remand v.*as granted till tomorrow.
