CEREALS. LONDON, April 5. Wheat—Tho market is quiet, and prices are unchanged. Flour—The market is firm. Australian forward offers are much abovo English parity. Oats —Tho market is very firm. Peas and beans—Tho market is very firm. No colonials are offering. SUGAR, Th« market is unchanged. WOOL» SALES. (Received April Bth, 5.5 p.m.) LONDON, April 6. * The Government aro acquiring the new English wool clip at about tho 1914 July rates. Of 86,900 bales catalogued at the current sales, the Government withdrew 23.000, while 53,000 were sold on the Homo market, 2000 on the Continent, and 5000 in the United States. The latter's entry into tho war is likely to cause a large demand either in Australia or in London. Best combing merinos advanced today, while others made full rates. Best scoured further appreciated. Lambs' wool sold often above February rates. The smallness of America's purchases is apparently due to tho prices being too high, and because direct Australian shipments ar© permitted. The Bradford wool market is quiet, and veiy firm.
