At ike last meeting of the Paparna J> County Council lengthy correspondence. | was rea<J from tho District Health | cer, Chris tchurch, concerning tho outbreak of dysentery at Texppleton. ! 7;! The chairman (Mr J. Leslie) reported Ji; that the letters had been dealt with by '/ liim as they arrived, as tho matter -was.; -; one of urgoncs. Ho reported that tho clerk had inspected every houso iu tho i Tompleton township, and "had, in acoordanco with tho Health instruo ■ tions, given notico where necessary for , all pit privies to bo completely filled in i and a proper pan installed. A large "4 number of fowl runs wero found to bo m • • a dirty state, and theso wero ordered ' , to be cleared and dug up. In a num- .4 ber of cases, rubbisn accumulations were ordered to. be burnt. It waa decided, on tho clerk's mendation, to make a house-to-house pi collection of the accumulations of tins' i ; which have been collected by a number V. of residents. Due notice of this col- VV;j lection will be given, and those people wishing to take advantage of this muil' l place their rubbish in boxes at tl» front gates for tho Council's men t» remove. The clerk was instructed to make I another of the houses to ';$s ascertain if t&e notices had been obeyed, 5.1 and in eases of failuro to immediately 1 institute legal proceedings against tho delinquents. | The Council considered the possibility of a weekly nightsoil collection for j!
