SOUTH WAIMAKARIRI RIVER BOARD.
The South "Waimakariri Kiver Board met yesterday. Present —Messrs AV. P. Spenoor (chairman), N. K. Bowden, C. Burgess, H. E. Pei7man, J. Leslie, A. S. Bruce, J. B. Laureuson, and I''. E. Jones. The overseer reported that there had been a flood in the river since the previous meeting but no damage was done. He specified certain leases on which the gorse required to bo grubbed, and recommended the erection of a fence, which would provide a boundary for Lot 32, at a cost of £7. The report was adopted. The question of gorse grubbing was referred to tho Gorse and Broom Committee, and it was decided to ercct the fence. The question of increasing the payments into the sinking fund waa referred to the Finance Committee to report to the next meeting.
