Cloud (0-10) .. .. 10 2 The following is the sunshine record taken at Sumner for the week ending April '2nd: — Nine hours' sunshine and over on three days —vis., 28th, 29th, and Ist. Maximum sunshine, 10 h«urs on the 2flth. Minimum sunshine, o hours 30 minutes, on the 27th. Total •funshine for the week, 58 hours 20 minutes. Total for fame period last year, 20 hours 5 minutes. Tbe total sunshine for March was 179 hours 40 minutes, as against 122 hours 20 minutes for March of last year. The readings taken at the Ashburton Domain weather station at 9 a.m. yesterday were:—Barometer, 29.92; thermometer, maximum 66, minimum 51. • SUMMARY AND FORECAST. Atmospheric pressure has increased over .the Dominion since last evening, but the winds have changed from southerly to northerly, moderato to strong generally. The weather hae been changeable, with fair to cloudy conditions rnling. Present indications are for freshening northerly and westerly winds. The weather is likely to be cloudy and unsettled at times, and scattered showers are probable, especially in the western districts and in the southern portion of the South Islani ' The barometer has a falling tendency. "
