NE"W ZEALAND LADIES' GOLF UNION. RED CROSS FUND. For thft second year the golf ctaba affiliated tfc the New ZeaJ&nd Lades' Golf TJirioa have held a series of competi£ions"*in aid of tho Bed Cross Fund. Last year the. amount raised by means was £311 13s, which was forwaidcd to the Minister of Internal Affaire for tho U2se of *OT2r men at tho front, Tivis season. golf, like all other pastimes, has boen rather slack, bet n. good many clubs have made a special effort to continue "the g&mos -n aid of the Bod Cross Fund euen if other competitions were allowed to Consequently, up till November 10th »be amount collected for 1916 is £281 14s. The only charge against this sum is iH6 12s Gd for medals, leayinjj available for the New Zealand Rod Cross Fund £264 16s 6d. In July and September instalment of £73 each were paid.over to this fund, aJid the lion, eecretary of the New Zealand Ladies' Golf Union has now. cent on the balasce, £114 16s 6d. Should any further earns come to hand they will be acknowledged indue course and forwarded to the Minister in charge of tho fund.
