PIONEER MOTOR CYCLISTS' CORPS.
Final arrangements havo now been made in connexion with tho Despatch Corps formed in connexion with the Pioneer Motor-cyclists' Club. The distinctive dikj.to bo placed oti tho front mudguard of each motor-cycle is nowready, and will bo obtainable by members \it tho meeting to be held in two club rooms to-night. Sample discs havo been handed to tho Deience authorities, and 1/tio system of despatch work inaugurated by tuo club win commence on Monday next. .Each member, on whose cycle tho disc is attached, will bo at the call of tho Detence authorities to convey any urgent message, or, it hH has a side-chair attachocf, to convey such Defence lepicseutativo to his destination- Tho adoption of a speciallyctusigned disc numbered consecutively has been found necessary instead of simply attaching a email flag to the front of the cycle as was tirst proposed, owing to the club having guaranteed to tho authorities tliat all members to whom a disc is issued will bo reliable and capable. Colonel Cooper has already on several occasions requisitioned the services of the despatch riders, and when the camp starts at Addington the motorists will bo of great assistance in connexion therewith.
To assist in augmenting the War Fund, tho dub is holding a monster opening day nest Saturday, when the members will place their machines at the disposal of the public by giving pleasure ridesj tho proceeds to go to the fund.
Applications.,to join tho corps must bo' made to ihe secretary or to Air Angus Donaldson, Chancery lane.
