WAIMAKARIRI HARBOUR WARD.
A meetiug of the Waimakariri Harbour Board was held last evening. Present- —Messrs Lissaman (chairman), Wi-ight, Barnard, Chamberlain, and Keetlcy. The Public Trustee uotitied receipt of £ol 7s 3d, nrtfa instalment ot' sinking fund on loan of £iOOO. Tho Harbour Board Amending Bill was received, also a letter ot protest from the Auckland Harbour Board regardin" clause 11, and membero' fees. *v. Rowers offered to buy the old pilot station on the beach.—Tenders to be invited. Tho Borough Council applied to have gates erected on the south end of tbo traffic bridge.—Referred to Works Ccmmifccee. A. H. Hunt claimed for damage done-to shop window through blading, operations.-—Liability denied. The harbourmaster reported a depth of 6ft of water on the bar. also that the beacons had been washed, away on 4 uly 10th. The receipts were reported to bi* £7S 9s Sd, and the credit balance at the bank £51 4a 7d.
