' ' The Mayor brought up' the matter of a new or improved railway station for Woolston. He said that ho considered'the" borough was now of sufficient importance to warrant a much improve ed station, and there was sufficient traffic to merit the creation or a goods shed. On the motion of tbo Mayor, if was decided to ask thai Government to consider the que*>tiori of enlarging arid bringing up to date the Woolston station, and xo ask the assistance of the Heathcote Comity' Council and the member for the district.
