ARATAPU AND ELIZA FIRTH.
During fie many years that the briga_tin#Aratipu and the schooner Eliza Firth have been engaged in the'timber trade, between. Kaipaxa and Lyttelton, they have contested several friendly races, tho latest of whichconcluded at Godloy Head yesterday morning with the arrival of tho Aratapu. Both vassals left Kaipara Head* on Wednesday last,'the Eliza Firth leaving at 2.15 p.m., the other vessel being fifteen minutea behind her. The Eliza Firth kept her lead all the way, and arrived at Camp Bay (near Addcrley Head), where she anchored, at 10.45 on Sunday night, The Aratapu did not reach there until 10.35 yesterday morning. v '
