TARANAKI OIL FIELDS.
ADMIRALTY ENQUIRIES. (SrECUt TO "THE PHESS.") NEW PLYMOUTH, August S. The Taranaki (N.Z.) Oil Wells, Ltd., havo been requested by the High Commissioner in London, through the Mines Department, to forward to the British Admiralty a few casks of the company's fuel oil for the purpose of testing its suitability fot naval purposes. The company has been asked to forward this with a view to tendering for future supplies. The company have also been requested to p!a;e themselves in communication with the Admixalty.
