ENTHUSIASM IN LONDON
DEMONSTRATION OUTSIDE THE PALACE.
(Received August 4th, .12.15 a.m.) LONDON. Augyst 3. The first ouward sign of patriotic enthusiasm was observed when crowds cheered Ministers attending tho Cabinet meeting. There wero shouts of "Good Old England!" "Bravo, Winston!" There was a great demonstration *n front of Buckingham Palace. Tho crowds sang "Rule. Britannia!'' and tho and National Anthem. The King and the Queen on the balcony acknowledged the demonstration. Tho King, through Mr Harcourt. expressed hir__h appreciation of New Zealand's and Canada's offers of help. Lord Kitchener's departure has been postponed. "Tho Times" suggests his appointment as War Minister, to relieve Mr Asquith.
