SECRECY OF EXAMINATION PAPERS.
UNIVERSITY SENATE ENQUTRY.
(PEESS ASSOCXATION TELEGEAUS.) ". WELLINGTON, Juno 7. At the April meeting of the Senate of the University of New Zealand a committee was appointed to enquire into statements made ut a political meet-' ing by Sir A. H. Hir.dxnarßh, JI.P.; that he had been informed that about two years ago examination papers had been ecen by a candidate before the time of the osamination.
The committee reports that although Mr Hindmarsh attended tho meeting of tho committee he could only repeat what had been told him, and could not give any information in support of the statements. The committee, after fullin vestigation, is satisfied that every precaution is taken at the printing office and the University office to preserve absolute secrecy.
