OPINIONS OF EXPERTS.
Mr Fred Jane, the well-known naval author, denies that capital ships are doomed, as submarines are too slow and too low to see over the waves.
Other experts point out that there was a similar cry whon torpedoes were invented. Sir Percy Scott, they say, is wrong in suggesting that submarines are invulnerable. It is not true that they are able to attack booms, particularly the new explosivo booms, which have proved a great success on the Continent.
