COALGATE.

One of the most successful balls held in the district for some time took place in the- Coalgato Produce Sliod on Friday overling, the occasion bein<i the annual ball of the South Malvern bachelors. There was a very large attendance, and the hall was tastefully decorated. Tho grand march was led by Mr H. Stuart and Miss K. Mclntyie. 'Great credit is duo to the committee, who worked so energetically to make the function a success, and also to Mr H. Stuart, the secretary. Tho music was supplied by \\ells s band. -
