SUMMARY AND FORECAST.
Mr. B." V. Pemberton. Acting-Government Meteorologist, supplkd the following weather summary and forecast at 5 p.m. yesterday: —
Atmosphcrio pressure has increased, and strong but decreasing south-westerly winds have prevailed. Fair weather has ruled in tbo eastern districts, but elscwhero the conditions havo been changeable, with showers in tho northern and southern extremes.
Present indications are for fair weather generally, but unsettled at timco in tho southernmost districts. The barometer has still a rising tendency, and moderate to strong southerly winds are likely to prevail, but will give place to more variable breezes soon.
