TRAGEDY AT PORT DARWIN-
(By Cable.—Pre** Association. —Copyriehij (Received Juno sth, 9.15 p.m.) PORT DARWIN, Juno 5. i R. Lindsay was committed for trial for shooting his wife. ! Mrs Lindsay, in her dying deposition, stated that sho was awakened to find her husband standing over her with a razor. Sho sprang out of bed, and her husband 6hot her twice. She denied certain allegations made against her. Lindsay, who "was formerly president of the Amalgamated Engineers' Society, Sydney, told tho arresting constable that he shot his wife twice, and meaat to .finish'the job and himself, but the hammer of the revolver jammed.
