FUNERAL OF SAILORS

The Government steamer Lady Evelyni has abandoned further search for bodies, her captain declaring that all who were outside tho liner's hull have been picked up. The remains of a little girl, four years old, believed to be tho daughter °f a Toronto Salvation Army officer named Brooks, were found eighteen m 'le3 down the river. The child is described as beautiful, with ruddy cheeks and golden hair ' Another girl, aped thirteen, a resident of the district, found the bo'"y, and enclosed it in a tiny coffin, with a bu>nh of • forget-me-nots, to which a card was attached, bearing tbe words: ~ Kindly accent my kindest and sinccrest sympathy. The Canadian-Pacific Company has not decided whether to attempt to raise the liner Empress of Ireland, but exprte have been engaged to make a preliminary survey. ~
