DUKKDIN, Juno 5. Play between the Christchureh and Otago Golf Clubs for pos_e~.«ion of th« Orbell Cup took place to-day at Balmacewen. The morning rounds wero singles, scoring being oy bole© and not by notches. The Oiago ladies, though winning five matches and losing three, eecurcd only 10 holes to their opponents' 13, the ma: gin of 3 in favour of tho Chratchurch. ladies being largely due to the substantial victory secured by Miss Wood,'. a eister of the, amateur champion., over h«r opponent, Mrs Allan. In tho raen'e matches there were also eomo games in which the margin of holes was v s *' t^ 0 ,ess weather conditions than the benumbing cold of ■ yesterday enabled Dr. Boas and H. B. Stronach to show bettor golf, and thoy each won their matches by large margins. Dr. Koss caught Harold Wright somewhat out of form, and this gamewas more one-sided than had been expected. Stronach finished up tho last, five holes ir.
