MR JOHN HOPPER.

The late Mr John Hopper, of Addington, who died on Thursday, and was buried yesterday in the Addington Cemetery, was very well known throughout New Zealand for the interest he displayed for tne betterment of cri ket. He founded the Addington Cricket Club, and often worked all night in bis brkehouse and coached the players in the afternoon. His liberal gifts to that club, and to the Canterbury Cricket Agnation, were cordially appreciated by all followers ol the game.
