The New Zealand Shipping Company's liner Kaipara left Dunedin yesterday after- ■ noon, and is due ?.t Lyttelton this morning in continuation of the disof her cargo from London. Advice has been received to the effect that the steamer Cairnros*, running under charter to the Now .Zealand Shipping Company, arrived at London on Monday lm"t. Tho vessel took her departure from Wellington on April 3. I The Federal-Shire liner Suffo'k, which left 'Wellington on April 16th, arrived Home on j Wednesday last. Having put out the locally consigned portion of her cargo from Liverpool, the New i Zealand Shipping Company's liner Rirautaka, which is undor charter to the Federal '> and Shire Line, 'eft for Dunedin and Bluff to finish. Loading operations will then be commeneea, for which purpose Waitara, P:c<: ton, Wellington, and Timaru will he visited. The vessel will fill up at Lyttelton, and will leave hero finally for Avonmouth. via Laa Palmas, about June 30th. A cable message from London on Wednesday laet announces the departure of the Commonwealth and Dominion liner Star of India for Australian and New Zealand ports. To put out the Lyttelton portion of her I cargo from Xew York, the American and I Australian Line's chartered steamer, Whaka- • rua, arrived yesterday morning from Wei- I linplon. She will sail today for Dunedin to finish discharge. After being delayed at Newcastle for come three weeks for the purpose of having repairs effected to her machinery, the A. and A. Line's chartered steamer Southport got away from that port on Tuesday laat for Auckland. The vessel is originally from New York, and is due at Lyttelton" about June 15th. The Vacuum Oil Company has chartered the eteamer Tcrdala, 5880 tons, Captain • Croswaito to take a cargo of case oil from i New York to Auckland, Wellington, Lyttel- I ton, tad Du&edio. . 1
