At low tide- her highest point is only nine fathoms below the surf are. There is talk of numerous suits for damages against tho Canadian-Pacific Railway Company. Tho Lord Mayor's Relief Fund totals £10,000. Baring Brothers, bankers, have given £1000, and Lady Strathcona and Mr W. M. Singer £500 each. The Canadian-Pacific Company has contributed £K),000 to the London and Liverpool Relief Funds. According to an estimate based on the Titanic Fund, £80.UfW will be re-quired.-for tho relief of the crew's dependents, and at least £100,000 for those of the paesengcrs.
