There was a rery largo attendance at the annual meeting of the Cantorbury Women's Political Reform League, which was held last night. The annual report and. balance-sheet Were adopted. A motion to elect a sub-comnuttee of two to deal with a matter affecting the finances of the League was iost in favour of an amendment, leaving tne - question in the hands of the incoming t committee. . ~ The election of officers for the ensuing year resulted as follows ' dent, Mrs Rolleston; vice-presidents, Mrs Nicholls and Mrs Acland; hon. secretary, Mrs Hennah; hon. treasurer, Mrs Aciand; committee, Mrs Huie, Miss Stoddart, Mrs Stewart, and Mrs Brittain. , , . Mrs Haslam was elected as delegate • to the annual conference, and was «■ also made a life member of tho brands.
